Get focused, personalized instruction with our Small Group Lessons—ideal for players who want to elevate their game in a collaborative, supportive setting. Designed for teammates or friends who want to train together, these sessions are led by our elite coaching staff with backgrounds in high school, collegiate, and professional baseball and softball.
Whether your child is new to the game or working toward competitive play, our small group format allows for individualized attention while fostering teamwork and accountability. Lessons can focus on hitting, pitching, fielding, or overall game development, and take full advantage of our top-tier training spaces—including batting cages, pitching mounds, and turf fields at Pier 40.
These lessons play a vital role in player development. Small group settings allow coaches to zero in on technique and mechanics while maintaining game-like intensity and energy. Regular, high-quality instruction builds muscle memory, improves confidence, and accelerates athletic growth far beyond what’s possible in larger group settings or standard team practices.
And as always, our mission is to ensure all kids across New York City—regardless of neighborhood, school, or income—can access top-tier coaching and opportunities to improve. We work with families to accommodate scheduling and offer financial assistance to ensure that no one is excluded from advancing their skills due to cost.
Small Group Lessons are available year-round and for all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re just getting started or fine-tuning for tryouts, we’ll help your player reach their full potential—together.
1:1 Pitching Session with Coach Jason
At P3, we know that confidence is everything in baseball and softball—and sometimes, a player needs focused, individual attention to build it. Our 1:1 Training Sessions are designed to create that opportunity for every young athlete, regardless of background or income level.
While often misunderstood as exclusive or elite, one-on-one coaching is actually one of the most fundamental tools for access and equity in youth sports. Not every child has a parent who can play catch with them, explain batting mechanics, or build their confidence through repetition and reassurance. For many players—especially those from under-resourced families—a single coach’s undivided attention can be transformative.
Contrary to popular belief, baseball and softball are intensely individual sports. A batter faces a pitcher. A shortstop must field a ball on their own. In these moments, a young athlete must trust their training, technique, and mindset. That’s where 1:1 sessions come in. They help players refine mechanics, sharpen focus, and build the confidence to succeed—whether it’s their first time holding a bat or they’re preparing for high school tryouts.
Led by our staff of current and former collegiate and professional players, 1:1 sessions are customized to meet each player where they are—offering targeted instruction in hitting, pitching, fielding, or catching. The pace is set by the athlete, not the group, creating a safe and encouraging environment for learning.
To ensure these sessions are truly accessible, P3 offers financial assistance, sliding-scale pricing, and scheduling flexibility. No player is turned away based on cost. We believe every child deserves the same opportunity to grow, improve, and believe in themselves—especially those who don’t have access to private coaching elsewhere.
1:1 Training is offered year-round and supports all positions and skill levels. It’s more than a lesson—it’s a chance to be seen, supported, and strengthened as an athlete and as a person.
At P3, we believe every child deserves the chance to play—regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why we offer a “Pay What You Can” scholarship option.
We simply ask that you share a few details about your request—if you're comfortable doing so—so we can better understand your situation and ensure support reaches those who need it most.
